I have used Volumio previously with no problems. Because I prefer open source software, I installed moodeaudio 6.1 on my RPii3/Allo Boss DAC. I can't play anything yet because I get the following error message when I try to do so:

Failed to open "ALSA default" (also)
Failed to open ALSA device "hw0.0"
No such file or directory

I anyone can help, I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks

My solution for the same error was to try again with a different SD card.
@dukeincleve I take it you've gone through the initial setup guide, rebooted where prompted etc?

Do you mean for Moode or the music? I actually have a thumb drive for my music.

Also, even the built-in test files caused the same error message.

Yes, I followed the setup steps, and rebooted when prompted.
