(Invalid card number. - aBrianH - 05-22-2019 Hi I have replace the IQAudio PI-DAC+ with a PI-DAC PRO but now cannot hear anything and get an error message saying ALSA volume set to (Invalid card number.) with failed to open output device. This is with a new 5.2 card setup from scratch. Any thoughts. Thanks RE: (Invalid card number. - Tim Curtis - 05-22-2019 Sounds like a hardware issue. To troubleshoot - set I2s audio device to "IQaudIO Pi-DAC+" in Audio config - power off - swap back to the Pi-DAC+ card - power up - Open MPD config and SAVE - verify that this configuration is working properly then - set I2s audio device to "IQaudIO Pi-DAC PRO" in Audio config - power off - swap back to the Pi-DAC PRO card - power up - post the output from the following commands Code: cat /boot/config.txt RE: (Invalid card number. - CallMeMike - 05-23-2019 (05-22-2019, 02:47 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: Sounds like a hardware issue. ... or test the integrity of he uSD card by using the RPi only (amend the settings, no need to take the DAC HAT out) via the RPi's headphone port. RE: (Invalid card number. - aBrianH - 05-25-2019 It was a hardware issue. Used the DAC+ standoffs which did not allow the connector to make full contact. Thanks for your guidance.
