Diretta Audio Protocol - sweetsound - 01-03-2020
Hi team,
It would be nice if diretta audio protocol or similar one would be able to implement to moode.
Diretta audio protocol will improve audio quality because of processing noise reduction.

Whatever my personal thoughts about the Diretta protocol and its purported benefits, the fact that I can find no technical description* and no open-source code would seem to be a show stopper.
In the vanishingly small number of Web search hits I got, I see tidbits like this from an October 2018 exchange on the Audiophile Style forum https://audiophilestyle.com/forums/topic/54566-diretta-audio-transport-protocol/

One has experienced this protocol with audio network player(DSP-vela) made by sforzato corp.
The blog mentions that the sound by diretta is vivid and freshness compered with upnp connections between DSP-Vela and NAS (fidata HFAS1-X).

Another friend heard mini pc version of diretta, it sounds clear compared with light MPD PC and USB DAC(ES9018).

I asked your question to info@diretta.link and received the answer in Japanese quite a long message.
The point is as follows.
Currentry, Diretta libraly its-self is not open source.
It is scheduled to implement audio maker's products.
Please ask to info@diretta.link by person in charge of the audio maker.

I just have tested Diretta on a target PC vs Moode on a USBridge sig and I have to say that the sound quality is better with Diretta.
So that being said I would love to test Diretta on the USBridge but also on a Rapsberry for audio quality comparison.
The target PC was equiped with an Asus AT5ION-I card (Intel Atom D525) with a standard (noisy) power supply compare to the USBridge sig Shanti
both connected (alternativly) via on my USB Dac.
The target PC has to run windows 10 with IPV6 ethernet, but boots on a USB Stick with diretta image (wich is very probably linux)
@Tim Curtis I understand your request for free protocol, but I would agree to pay a fee for diretta software running with moode like I paid the allo hardware in order to have a better sound, so as far as the cost is only support by the end user, you could invistigate in that direction as well
