Radio Paradise - mtnbrit - 02-14-2020 Hi, please consider adding Radio Paradise to the built-in radio stations, they have some fine sounding FLAC streams with several mixes to choose from. Im sure this would be a welcome and popular addition. https://radioparadise.com/listen/stream-links FLAC Links Main Mix FLAC (http://stream.radioparadise.com/flac) Mellow Mix FLAC (http://stream.radioparadise.com/mellow-flac) Rock Mix FLAC (http://stream.radioparadise.com/rock-flac) Eclectic Mix FLAC (http://stream.radioparadise.com/eclectic-flac) RE: Radio Paradise - Tim Curtis - 02-14-2020 Is there any metadata (Album, Artist, Track, etc) in the streams? RE: Radio Paradise - BackinBlack - 02-14-2020 The expansion of Radio Paradise adding Mellow, Rock and Eclectic mixes is a great move, even more of what you like! Unfortunately the flac streams do not contain metadata, but the 320k AAC streams do, see here: Radio Paradise streaming options Thanks for all the great work Tim. Happy Listening Ian RE: Radio Paradise - mtnbrit - 02-15-2020 Does lack of metadata necessarily eliminate them from consideration for being included in the radio stations page? RE: Radio Paradise - Tim Curtis - 02-15-2020 Nope but there are zillions of radio streams and I'd prefer to only add those that include rich metadata. The better question is to Radio Paradise forum and why they don't include metadata in their FLAC streams. From the Radio Paradise link above, concerning the FLAC streams Quote:These links currently do not currently include stream metadata (song title info). Not our choice. We would if we could. RE: Radio Paradise - Tim Curtis - 02-15-2020 The likely reason is that they have to pay the companies that provide the metadata an annual license fee. Edit to add: They also may be prohibited by the companies that provide the data from including metadata in lossless streams. Just ask them on their Forum specifically why no metadata. RE: Radio Paradise - mtnbrit - 02-15-2020 I thought I read that FLAC streaming doesnt support metadata. RE: Radio Paradise - Tim Curtis - 02-15-2020 Amazon streams their entire trillion track catalog in lossless FLAC with rich metadata. RE: Radio Paradise - mtnbrit - 02-15-2020 I listen mostly to RP, Intense Radio, JB Radio-2 and Frequence3 FLAC streams, none of them have metadata. Are Amazon doing live radio streaming in a standard container that will play on any player for example moode? |
