Does MoOde have an easy way to play Spotify, including gapless?
Can't seem to find it.

This is the only way to get gapless spotify that I know of, if you can live without gapless there is a plugin built into moode.

We're still running with upmpdcli v1.2.16 for stability reasons. The current version is 1.4.5. Somewhere in the midst of the evolution of upmpdcli 1.3, work started on a Spotify Premium plugin (similar in principle to the existing Tidal, Qobuz, and Gmusic plugins).

It has been proposed to bump to a more recent version in moOde, e.g., http://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.p...2#pid14412, but of course this bump has to be tested.

I have no clue if the plugin offers gapless playback. You can peruse the release notes https://www.lesbonscomptes.com/upmpdcli/

Currently moOde uses the librespot package to access Spotify. It makes moOde act act as a Spotify device.

The upmpdcli work would offer a different choice. It would make moOde act as a UPnP device with access to the Spotify library.

Hard to tell without testing what advantages/disadvantages this choice offers. They may turn out to be equivalent apart from the need for different client apps to access them.
