Coolness for offering to help with dev :-) Take a look at the repo and see if there is anything of interest to you. There's not much C code in moOde but C expertise is essential for contributing to MPD enhancements (C/C++) and modifying audio drivers, plugins, etc to enhance their capabilities. @bitlab has done a fair bit of this already :-)
Linux expertise can help us make the OS better so feel free to see what might be possible.
