In the set up guide it says;
c) Join network SSID=Moode, pwd=moodeaudio
d) http://moode.local or http://172.24.1.1
I assume this means to type these ip/addresses into your browser. When I do it returns a 'This site can't be reached' page.
My computer itself has no wifi adapter but is connected by ethernet cable to my wifi router.
I have also tried using a browser on my phone with the IP and addresses with the same problem.

Indeed that is where the problem started, and it could have been easily solved had you not dug your heels in with the notion that the setup guide or thread topics were filled with some sort of hard to understand "tech jargon" as you put it. They are not, and there are many people using Moode who are not computer experts, I personally know a bunch of them.

Had your immediate complaining tone been checked at the door, I or various others here could have very easily told you what an SSID is, or how easy it would have been for you to connect with Moode's AP using your phone.

Even had that not occurred, you could have done a simple Google search to learn what an SSID is, and then it might have hit you as to how you would connect to Moode's AP in order to do the initial setup.

I can't begin to count the number of folks who were pointed in the direction of the setup guide, and never returned with even one more question.

Lastly, your contention that "there are a lot of people are missing out" due to this supposed "tech snobbery" is entirely unfounded. Really, how many is "a lot of people" and how exactly did you count them?
