Hyperpixel display
#1
Hello,

Has anyone used the Hyperpixel 4.0 with Moode?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperPixel-4-0-...4NJ3Z?th=1

I saw a post about another display overwriting the config files during installation, so I just wanted to make sure it will work without breaking anything.

Thanks!

Hi.

This is a Pimoroni display. The Pimoroni site refers me to https://github.com/get.pimoroni.com/hyperpixel4 for installation instructions.

It looks like the install.sh script has the decency to modify rather than simply overwrite the critical /boot/config.txt file but I haven't looked carefully enough to see if the changes are consistent with moOde's use of the same file. As well, it looks like you have to compile some code if you need 180-deg rotation.

You should read the user comments on the Pimoroni site. The display looks nice. it also looks to be in short supply.

Regards,
Kent

Hi Kent,

Thanks for the info, that's useful.  I'll look into it a bit more.

Cheers.

I have installed and tested the Hyperpixel 4 touch and it worked first time!

Moode interface looks and works great, with touch.
