Problem adding WD My Cloud NAS on the network

Post the output from the 'mount' command for the successful mount and I'll have a look.

Thanks for your speedy response.

Unfortunately, neither of yoursuggestions seems to work.

When I add .local I get the same mount error saying 'could not resolve address for MYCLOUD-AP41K0: Unknown error'.

When I try using the IP address I get a message saying 'Share cannot be blank'.

Martin

How does your server appear in the SCAN results?

I have a WD MyCloud NAS box (white version) and for me to use it with Moode I had to set up a username+password on the NAS box using its web admin interface. Soon as I did that everything worked and fell into place as long as I continue using the IP address.

As it happens I setup two users on the NAS box, the one I use in Moode is a user called pidac which only has read-only permissions for the music share. Helps protect my 5,000+ albums from any potential unintended issues.

It appears as;

Hi @Martin,

Try

IP_ADDRESS/Public

or

MYCLOUD-AP41K0.local/Public

Hello, the problem I mentioned with the addition of the WD My Cloud NAS was obviously in the installation. I did a clean install on the SD card again and everything was ok without stumbling.
But that did not solve all that unfortunately. I have to write here mainly for the developers of this good player that I was waiting for a much worse problem.
After reconfiguring my new Allo BOOS 1.2 card and plugging into the amplifier, I was in a way damaged by Cinch. I tried it again on the second free entrance and so on. So it damaged my receiver for a lot of money and I can not explain it. Before I played the same RPi + Volumio + Allo BOOS 1.2 without any problems from the same settings. How can lord developers ???

EDIT: Sorry for the criticism I've already solved it and everything is right without harm. Thank you for your help. But the cause was not my fault, but some inexplicable event.

Hi Tim

I am making some progress - changing to 'MYCLOUD-AP41K0.local/Public' worked and I now have a green tick that shows it has been mounted successfully.

In the Browse pane, I now see a NAS option. When I clicked on NAS, I could see MyCloud so I clicked to 'Update this folder'. I get a message saying 'Updating' but it kept updating overnight and didn't seem to be able to find my music files.  I may need to change the location of the files in MyCloud so that it can find them.

Question
I am having similar problems adding my Western Digital My Book Live NAS
I have recently updated to MoOde version 4.1 but had the same problem with the previous version
My NAS is found When i run the scan but it just will not mount - I have tried adding the .local and tried IP_ADDRESS/Public
as suggested but nothing works. I managed to install Volumio automatically by just running the scan.
Any help would be appreciated - See below copy of error log and screen print
