Hi, Tim.

Can't say I've seen the race condition and it looks like the only change to the firmware is the bump to the new kernel.

Still, I've got an RPi3B+ halfway through a build with 2018-04-18 as I type this, just because.Rolleyes

Argh. I must have been sleepwalking cuz I forgot about STEP 11 and the data in the current mosbuild.properties. Started with the 2018-04-18 image. Used mosbuild.sh with direct build option. Built fine (which I expected) *but* mosbuild_worker.sh obligingly downgraded the kernel to 4.14.32-v7+. I kicked it back up to 4.14.34-v7+

Here's some relevant data from a stock 2018-04-18 image

Code:
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ uname -a
Linux raspberrypi 4.14.34-v7+ #1110 SMP Mon Apr 16 15:18:51 BST 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ zgrep "* firmware as of" /usr/share/doc/raspberrypi-bootloader/changelog.Debian.gz|head -1
 * firmware as of 5db8e4e1c63178e200d6fbea23ed4a9bf4656658
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cat /etc/debian_version
9.4

I get the same from moOde after *fixing* it.

Kent

For what its worth, I installed 4.1 yesterday on the 2018-04-18 release without incident. Other than turning off the lights; which turned off the power plug the install was using. Install took 4 hours including self induced power outage!

Thanks for another great release!
