Now I am using Picard which seems to work very well. I only have near 10.000 titles, so I assume the tool will do the job. Thanks for sharing ! I am using also NetATalk for AFP sharing. So my music collection is on a FreeBSD server and normal organized with iTunes. Also ripp, tagging and organized storage is done through iTunes on that FreeBSD Server. I also share the Library through SMBv3 for SONOS ( and videos ) . But I want to get away from SMB and now using NFS. That works great with MoOde on RPi3. Also I switched now Kodi on OpenELEC to use NFS. works also wonderful. As SONOS depends on SMBv1 ( Arrggghhh !!!) I think I might use the MoOde RPi in the future as a streaming server for the SONOS with the build-in DNLA server of MoOde. I recommend to try Picard for Tagging. While iTunes is good for the first guesses, Picard is much better for the details. And you could include the covers in the tracks - so your car audio has also a chance I am using Picard on the mac and access the Lib via Netatalk.
