Problem: Flac output bit rate
#1
Question I have been meaning to ask for a while.

Why does moode output 24/96 flac files as 32/96, according to Audio info?

Thanks

More likely depending on your DAC and MPD Config settings

Some DAC's will only accept 32 bit word length and so MPD/ALSA will pad to that bit depth when they query the DAC to see what it requires. Bit-depth padding still leaves the original bits untouched so bit-perfectness is maintained.
