Problem: Track list disappears when another album is chosen
#1
Sad
Version 5.1 (problem was possibly already existing in previous versions).
Cover Art mode.
Track list of one of the albums is visible. Cover of select album is visible as well.

Problem: when selecting the three dots of another album, the related menu appears.
At the same time the cover art of the selected album is also shown.
But when you now select the "Track List" option for the newly selected album, the tracklist simple disappears and you have to do the last steps over again….

Any chance this can change? The track list view should stay even when another album is selected [Image: sad.png]

Thx,
Johan

I've seen that too.

Play lists are sacred, and should be treated as such

When you select the ellipsis menu for another album the tracklist should automatically change to show the tracklist for that other album. The tracklist menu item toggles between it showing and not. We can make the menu item say “show tracklist” or “hide tracklist” explicitly if you think that’d help?

Also tracklists are not playlists and neither necessarily reflects the play queue.

Hey Swizzle,

Now I got it.... It does work like you say. If the track list is visible and you click (=click left, duh...) on the ellipsis menu for a different album, indeed, the track list changes to the newly chosen album.
Unfortunately, I saw the track list of a certain album, clicked on the ellipsis menu of another album (now read this as: clicked right) and the track list disappeared...
My mistake.... But then again, it shouldn't be doing this. If the "right click" would not open the menu, we wouldn't have this discussion  Dodgy Wink

Hide/show....maybe that would help, but I really think it would be better to disable the right click on this menu. Your call...
