(Invalid card number.

Hi
I have replace the IQAudio PI-DAC+ with a PI-DAC PRO but now cannot hear anything and get an error message saying ALSA volume set to (Invalid card number.) with failed to open output device. This is with a new 5.2 card setup from scratch.

Any thoughts. Thanks

Sounds like a hardware issue.

To troubleshoot

- set I2s audio device to "IQaudIO Pi-DAC+" in Audio config
- power off
- swap back to the Pi-DAC+ card
- power up
- Open MPD config and SAVE
- verify that this configuration is working properly

then

- set I2s audio device to "IQaudIO Pi-DAC PRO" in Audio config
- power off
- swap back to the Pi-DAC PRO card
- power up

- post the output from the following commands

Code:
cat /boot/config.txt
cat /boot/cmdline.txt
sudo /var/www/command/sysinfo.sh

... or test the integrity of he uSD card by using the RPi only (amend the settings, no need to take the DAC HAT out) via the RPi's headphone port.

It was a hardware issue. Used the DAC+ standoffs which did not allow the connector to make full contact.
Thanks for your guidance.
