Code:
20190829 140314 worker: ALSA volume set to (Invalid card number.)
20190829 140323 worker: ALSA volume level (Invalid card number.)

Normally they would be like below.
Code:
20190901 150536 worker: ALSA volume set to (0%)
20190901 150541 worker: ALSA volume level (60%)

Try the command "aplay -l". It should produce output identical to below for a Boss DAC.
Code:
pi@rp2:~ $ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: BossDAC [BossDAC], device 0: Boss DAC HiFi [Master] pcm512x-hifi-0 []
 Subdevices: 1/1
 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I tried "aplay -l" and got this back:

device_list:272: no soundcards found...

I don't understand this because in the Config Audio Devices I set I2S Audio Device to Allo Boss DAC. Also, I have used the same components with Volumio with no problems.

Pi3 + Allo Boss user here and also ex-Volumio user, Moode was fine for me out of the gate.
Here's the relevant dtparams from /boot/config.txt on mine. I haven't edited my config.txt, Moode has set these as configured in the GUI.

Code:
dtparam=i2c_arm=on
dtparam=i2s=on
dtparam=audio=off
dtoverlay=allo-boss-dac-pcm512x-audio

Hope that helps.
