Problem: HiFiBerry Digi Pro on RPi 4 no go
#11
Hi to all,
I have just upgrade two RPi2 with the Pi4 4Gb, One of these has the Digi+ Pro.
I had big trouble with my library, on a synology via samba: I could connect it but it didn't show me all the file and directory. I tried mpd 0.21 and 0.22, 32 and 64bit but nothing changed. I check the mount in ssh, perfect. Check the mpd log, no error. But If I look at the screen all the time until it finished the library update, it appears foe a couple of second an error on the mpd socket.

I lost yesterday afternoon trying every option permutation, the this morning I use ssh to update the linux part (apt update, the upgrade). It update a lot, the kernel too.
Now it works flawlessly Smile

Hope it could help someone else

It seems that this is a conflict caused by a design change in more recent Raspberry Pi 4s. There's a note to this effect on Hifiberry's website, although they state it only applies to a more recent Digi board.

I found that of the two Pi 4s I own, one works with my Digi+ Pro, and the other (slightly newer one) does not.

Here's a link to the article on Hifiberry's website.
