Problem: Volume going back to 0% by itself
#1
I have an I2S device with hardware volume.
When switching from Spotify to MPD, the volume is going back to 0% even though I set it to 100 in the config.
When re-checking the config when this happened, it is back at 0% again.

moodeutl -l output:

The ALSA volume setting in Audio Config just represents the current ALSA level. It's not persistent.

In upcoming moOde 6.3.1 update I've changed it to "Max ALSA volume" which is persistent and represents the ALSA volume level that is used to set 0dB when MPD volume control is set to Software or Disabled, or when any of the Audio Renderers are active.
Enjoy the Music!

=> I have an I2S device with hardware volume.

I have a similar effect with the AMP2. It also runs with hardware volume control.

If I switch to a USB DAC as a test (Audioquest Dragonfly, also with hardware control) and then go back to I2S I have first to select software volume, reboot, and then back to hardware volume. Then it works (for ever).

But not really a problem, do not do that so often ..
