Problem: alsa issue hw:0,0
#1
so rolling from 1 issue into the next. this caused my previous by trying to update.

but i've got a Adafruit MAX98357 I2S Class-D Mono Amp
this works but is producing a loud crack when starting songs.
so i follow the https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-max9...y-pi-usage to fix this.
Alsa test works but when in Moode I get the error

MPD error
"Failed to open "ALSA default" [alsa]; Failed to open ALSA device "hw:0,0": Device or resource busy"
I can fix this by uncommenting    device "hw:0,0" in /etc/mpd.conf but this gets overwritten at boot and thus is not a real solution.

anybody got a better idea?

many thanks

Hi,
you are just describing an amp. Technically this has nothing to do with your music output.
The thing you are messing with is the i2s output.
And from the ADAfruit description, it looks like you are setting the ALSA hw settings by hand. I am quite sure this is overwritten/modified by moode, as moode creates these device settings on boot.

Maybe Tim or someone who knows more of how the alsa settings are handled by moode can help here.
