Free accounts and Spotify Connect
#1
Free accounts are unable to use Spotify Connect on moOde currently, even if the playback rate is set to 160 Kbps.
Since a year this should be possible:

Is there something I need to change in the Spotify configuration to get this working?
I noticed there is a 'Clear credential cache' button, but the Edit button does not have details to configure an account.

So, quoting from the lifehacker article

Quote:The new support requires speaker manufactures to update their products with the latest version of Spotify’s SDK.

The moOde project uses librespot to implement a Spotify renderer. Quoting from the librespot README.md
Quote:Note: librespot only works with Spotify Premium. This will remain the case for the foreseeable future, as we are unlikely to work on implementing the features such as limited skips and adverts that would be required to make librespot compliant with free accounts.
