USB stupid question
#1
I use Moode with a 256GB USB key...

A stupid question :

Is it necessary to power off Moode before disconnect from mains?
Is there a chance to "break" USB files if I disconnect from mains without power off MoOde before ?

...actually there are two... questions :-)
1. yes (as the reverse of the power-up procedure as a general rule-of-thumb)
2. quite unlikely (but it may depend upon the quality of your RPi/DAC combo power suply/supplies and the USB flash memory device)

If you mean by this is it possible to corrupt the files on the USB, I think the answer is no because moOde mounts the music library as read only so can't damage the files.

I have had Moode corrupt the SD card it starts and runs off of, but not the music library, if not powered off correctly
