all radio stations except SOMA are static
#1
Using RPi3 + Kali reclocker + PianoDAC 2.1
To get this little streamer to work, I had to set the DAC to 'PianoDAC' Piano DAC 2.1 would not be recognized by mpd player.
Anyway, I could get music from some radio stations.
Any station that is a SOMA station plays fine, but all others in the default config are static. Is this expected?

and all Hi-res music as well. Anything that is not 16bit 44khz is just a bunch of hiss and static. Is this an issue with the Piano DAC?

AFAIK Kali only accepts 16 or 32 bit word length. Anything 24 bit will be distorted. Try setting SoX resampling to 32 bit / * kHz.
Enjoy the Music!

Yes, there appears to be a problem with the piano dac and the latest Linux Kernel.

confirmed. Setting Sox resampling to 32 bit 'cured' the problem.
