Question, which WiFi adapter is reported to work with moode 6.4.0 so I could buy it maybe?

Adapters based on the atheros chipsets and some ralink chipsets have generally spotty Linux support. The driver is there in the raspian kernel otherwise your Moode installation wouldn't list it but the driver require is said to require some patches which appears to be generally out of support.
I bought a TP-Link wireless AC adapater a few years ago to add 5GHz AC wifi to an old laptop and the Linux driver available would only compile on a 2.x kernel (ancient), it lives in the bottom of a drawer to this day as it does the same as you describe.

There are a few wikis out there detailing devices with drivers in the Linux kernel, here's one...

Generally you just need to check when shopping for a device that it is supported on Linux and if so it'd be plug & go.
Alternatively if a cable to the router isn't a goer (usually isn't) have you thought about Powerline adapaters?

Upgrade to moOde 6.7.1. It includes built-in support for Comfast CF-912AC WiFi adapter both 32 and 64-bit drivers. Support for this adapter was included starting with moOde 6.3.0 (only the 32-bit driver).

There is also a dedicated thread for the SIG.

Let's review the bidding...

Allo makes the USBBridge Signature.

Allo supplies a somewhat outdated version of moOde.

Why not ask Allo what WiFi adapters they support???? (Deduct points from their score if they respond "ask the moOde developers".)

Kent

I know about two dongles from allo site. I just forgot to order them when I was purchasing USBridge signature player and I was waiting for the delivery from France about a week or so. I wanted to buy something quicker in Poland where I live and I bought not 100% compatible WiFi dongle. Anyway I ordered a new one included in the list provided by viinnn.

I am new to Linux/PI/mood so I didn't know that this kind of driver compatibility issues may happen. Linux is not Windows SmileSmile

Anyway thank you all for your time and attention!

Pawel.

Ps. I tried loading a current ver. of mood but I could not make digital audio output work in audio setup so I stick with 640 allo downloaded moon version.

Tim I very much like your software so I am going to donate you for all the hard work you are doing!
