I just did a brand new install. I tried to mount a USB drive that has flac files. Moode does not see the USB Drive. Here is the mpd logs

As I can read in the log, the USB drive was mounted and mpd analyzes the tracks by means of ffmpeg.
ffmpeg complains about the flac files which are probably corrupted. What I also see in the log are the strange file names, for example ._06 - Back In the Saddle.flac which starts with a dot. I remember that malformed file names can cause sometimes errors in ffmpeg, e.g., special character like the tilde (~).

I assume you see nothing at all in the library view? Probably mdp sends some odd data from your flack files which causes the hiccups and prevents Moode from creating the library view. So when you remove the USB device and update the library, you should see the stereo test again.

The dot files and dot dirs are the annoying resource fork files created by OS X. The USB stick was prolly loaded or browsed on a Mac. These files should be manually deleted so they won't be indexed by MPD and then screw up the Library. There are some utilities for deleting the dot files. I think the Mac has a built in utility called dot_clean. I just use the find command on my Mac and Linux boxes.

If the Stereo Test file can't be indexed then your image is prolly corrupted in some way. Start with a fresh image downloaded from moodeaudio.org.

I agree with @ Atair that your flac files may be wonky. In normal circumstances, ffmpeg does not get involved with flac files because mpd as compiled for moOde includes its own flac decoder.
Here's a snippet from my mpd log when updating (e.g., adding) some flac tracks, including the Stereo Test track and a test track from Atair:

Those lines in your output which show files with names beginning with dot-underscore suggest the files came from an OS X system. In Linux (and maybe in OS X too? I don't use it), files with names beginning with a dot are hidden by default. They are not a problem per se but they will cause duplicate tracks to appear in your Library. You can direct mpd to ignore them (using the .mpdignore convention; see other posts on this forum).
Here, for example, is what I get if I create a dot-underscore version of the ff-16b-2c-44100hz.flac file shown about and update the Library:

No problem, but my Library listing now shows two copies of the same track.
So, back to your Aerosmith tracks. Try running the commands "file" and/or "mediainfo" on them to see what Linux thinks they contain.

That looks fine.
Now I'm puzzled. Occasionally we have seen a user manage to add an ID3v2 tag to a FLAC file, which is incorrect usage and may cause problems with the display of metadata but doesn't cause the mpd updating errors you reported. [1]
Perhaps indeed your installation was corrupted somehow.
If I think of anything else I'll give a shout but at this point I can only suggest Tim's solution.

[1] added in post-edit: you can check for this with the "file" command. A correctly formatted FLAC file will be reported as "FLAC audio bitstream data" while a FLAC file with an errant ID3v2 tag will be reported as "Audio file with ID3 version 2.x.0, contains:FLAC audio bitstream data", where x=3 or 4 depending on the version of the tag.
