Failed to open "ALSA default" (alsa); (...) lirc installation
#1
Hi all,

I`m currently running on v7.0.1, RPI4B + Audiophonics ES9038Q2M DAC board.
Every time I install lirc (like in the thread Step by step guide for using IR remote with moOde) and edit boot/config.txt after reboot I get such message:

Failed to open "ALSA default" (alsa); Failed to open ALSA device "hw:0,0": No such file or directory

Then, when I delete only one line: "dtoverlay=gpio-ir" and reboot the message disappears and once again I`m able to play music.

What the hell? Smile
Any ideas?

Problem solved - accept for adding:
"dtoverlay=gpio-ir
dtparam=gpio_in_pin=26"
I`ve added:
"dtoverlay=gpio-ir,gpio_pin=26"
to the boot/config.txt file.
