TV audio control with Raspberry PI
#1
Hello,

I want to control the audio of my tv with a Raspberry Pi. My tv has an optical and 3,5mm jack output.
I am looking for a DAC for my Raspberry Pi which can handle audio input and send it out over RCA (right-left sound) with MoOde.
Is there a DAC that supported these in moOde?

Thanks for the help

Greetings,
Dominique

Thanks! but those DAC don't have a 3,5mm jack or optical input. Shouldn't it possible with the hifiberry dac+ adc pro or JustBoom DAC standalone board to control my TV audio with a Raspberry pi?

Sorry missed the bit about optical input, you can always use a converter.

I think my best hope is on the Audio Injector Sound Card

https://www.amazon.com/Sound-Card-Raspbe...887&sr=8-1

these are working in Debian/ Raspberry Pi OS. I have only to write some custom python to run it headless.
It's a shame the DACBerry ONE+ has so bat support/documentation. The hardware looks very promising. But the input ports can't be used as far as I know...

Try the Hifiberry DAC+ADC. It has 3.5 in and can be switched between 3.5 in and MPD from the UI.
Enjoy the Music!

I bought a DACBerry ONE and find that half the card it totally useless since there is no software that can use the inputs Sad.

The DAC part is nice though.

Hi, thanks that sounds good! is it possible to control the volume of the 3,5mm input and port it out via the RCA connectors?
is it possible to switch the 3,5mm input and the MPD with moode/command/? or the gpio pins?

So I can switch easily with my remote between my TV audio and MPD (bluetooth, spotify, etc.)

For my IR remote I can make a custom python program. (I have some programming skills Smile )

Thanks for the help!

Yes, the 3.5 input has its own volume. Sound is output is to RCA.
