MPD Replay Gain
#1
In the MPD configuration, If I set ReplayGain to "auto" and Volume to "disabled" does the volume still get adjusted by MPD when decoding? I tried a test, but could not find any relevant info in the logs regarding this setup.

I don't see anything regarding this configuration in the documentation.

Prolly an A/B listening test would reveal something ?

I did an A/B test and indeed volume is getting adjusted. I assume using the MPD software volume control.

Thats good news indeed :-)

Upcoming moOde 4.5 adds a dedicated section in the new MPD config for Gain and normalization.

Gain and Normalization
- ReplayGain <Off/On>
- ReplayGain preamp <-15 to 15 dB>
- ReplayGain handler <Software/Mixer>
- Volume normalization <Yes/No>
Enjoy the Music!

Excellent !!    that's just what I need for the newly installed Allo Piano 2.1....:-)

Just for interest did Moode get the credit/$$ for my December purchase  ??

As I have more items to get if it did come through then I will continue.... if not then I will donate and buy from another manufacturer..  would be good to know if the system is working...
