Master gain: -24 to 24 dB (applies to all 4 frequency bands).
Individual bands:
- Frequency: 20 to 14000 Hz
- Bandwidth: 0.12 to 8 (lower values correspond to increasing resonance)
- Gain: -24 to 24 dB

The description for Bandwidth is from the author of the software.

In the meantime I realised it was not the sox filter but the one from CAPS. Ok, if increasing resonance means increasing Q, then am I correct to assume that Q = f0/bandwidth and thus if I use REW I have to compute bandwidth=f0/Q?

Sadly the documentation of CAPS is really lacking.

I'm not sure but its possible the CAPS dev is just using the term Bandwidth instead of Q. You could try contacting him.

Sounds like the unit of measure is "octave".
