Very odd.

I checked one of my systems and set the Named I2S device to "Allo Piano 2.1 Hi-Fi DAC" and verified that the correct overlay was set in /boot/config.txt

That would result in ALSA card 0 being assigned to the I2S device after rebooting. There should never be "Invalid card number." error for card 0. It will either be the I2S device or it will be assigned to integrated HDMI audio device on the Pi.

Try reboot and then post the Moode startup log.

It's difficult to read your log output. Next time place it in a code box.

The log entry below shows ALSA card 0 and card 1 empty which means Linux doesn't see any audio hardware not even the integrated headphone jack which would be on card 1 in a Pi-3B+.

I 'over the air' upgraded the 7.2.0 I have been using to what the upgrade check said was 7.2.1 - if I run moodeutl -l afterwards it reports that it is actually 7.3.0. This shows that the Piano2.1 is detected and is working correctly Smile

The feedback I gave you earlier was from a fresh SD card imaged with 7.3.0 (downloaded) and is not working as previously shown. I have re-imaged the card twice with the same results. ??? Maybe be a card problem? Odd none the less...
Anyway I am happy that the upgraded card works ok and would like to thank you for the help and time you may have spent with this.

I would attempt to re-upgrade, chances are something went a bit wrong with the upgrade. The Spotify renderer works well in all the scenarios I've tested on 7.3.0 with the exception of Spotify +ALSA loopback + CamillaDSP, where it play comically fast, but is still stable in its connection.

I just update (from moode update) from 7.2 to 7.3 and now i have no sound at all...
Cannot figure out what is the problem.

Just found the problem:
Alsa output mode was set at default, I have to change it to direct,,,, fiou....

( I did not change nothing before the update!!)
