You need to reboot after the update is installed.

RE: Connection to MPD failed - Paulnd - 05-13-2019
ok, the restart button didn't actually reboot the raspberry, I had to disconnect and reconnect power. All working now, thanks.
RE: Connection to MPD failed - Tim Curtis - 05-13-2019
It would be interesting to find out why reboot didn't work but in any case glad to hear it's working :-)
RE: Connection to MPD failed - JohnnyBravo - 10-23-2019
I've also run into this problem.
Reboot or power cycle don't seem to work.

RE: Connection to MPD failed - Tim Curtis - 10-23-2019
It looks like your configuration is broken due to modified core files. The log should show "Integrity check (passed)"

RE: Connection to MPD failed - JohnnyBravo - 10-23-2019
That's interesting, i just got the Allo USBridge signature which came with Moode pre-installed (version 6.1.0)
All I did was expand the file system, then rebooted and ran apt-get update && apt-get upgrade from the command line.
There were a whole bunch of updates, which apparently also broke things...
I'll start from scratch with a new image.

RE: Connection to MPD failed - Tim Curtis - 10-23-2019
For sure apt-get update && apt-get upgrade from the 6.1.0 release will cause a lot of breakage. IIRC it installs updates to PHP and its configuration files which overwrite the configs that moOde uses thus causing the Integrity check to fail.
Just use the current 6.3.0 image from moodeaudio.org. It has full support for the SIG including the enhanced driver and is built using the latest release of Raspbian Buster Lite (2019-09-26).
RE: Connection to MPD failed - JohnnyBravo - 10-23-2019
Yep, did a fresh install of Moode 6.3.0 and everything works fine.
Thanks!

What's the way to fix this breakage? Certainly I can't reinstall the OS everytime I want to update things.
