So what's the option? Is there any option to reinstall without deleting other contents of the sd card? To re-install, I am afraid not. You can create a backup, eventually, and then re-flash. Re-flashing with a fresh image overwrites the uSD card. As @Nutul mentioned you can first use the Backup option in System Config to save settings, playlists, radio stations etc for subsequent Restore but if you have stored music files on the uSD card you will need to reinstall them after re-flashing. A better option going forward is to store music files on a separate USB drive. RE: Official touchscreen display and ALSA error - hjheins - 10-14-2024 I'm having the same issues, however.. Setup: Raspberry Pi 3B with Audiophonics ES9023 DAC and a Raaspberry Pi 7" screen, release: 9.1.2 2024-09-28. I installed the image with rpi-imager, and after boot, configured both the touchscreen and the DAC. From there I had this issue as well. I rebooted multiple times with different DACs (alsoe "none") to see if that solved the issue, however it did not. However what did work: restarting with touchscreen disabled. Now I had hdmi as my primary output (moode chose that by itself after reboot). Next, I could choose the correct DAC, and that worked after reboot. When I had that working, I could select the touchscreen, and, after reboot, that worked as well. After gong through these steps, everything worked well (well except for veriosn 9 being a LOT slower to boot than version 8) So something is definitly off... I hope this helps troubleshooting. |
