RE: [HOW TO] force folder.pjg - El bubar - 07-29-2023 bonjour tim with "the cover search priority" put to "cover file". the pb is by-passed. All cover are well displayed..... merci ! RE: [HOW TO] force folder.pjg - Tim Curtis - 07-29-2023 (07-29-2023, 08:32 AM)El bubar Wrote: I have the same view you have in play view : the image is correct one The covers are fine in all the views on my end. Its very odd that different covers show up as thumbnails for the album. Maybe check those albums for: - hidden "dot" files - hidden duplicates of the albums - permissions You could also move those albums to a separate USB drive and just use that drive as the sole music source. Regenerate the Library and see if the issue occurs. RE: [HOW TO] force folder.pjg - TheOldPresbyope - 07-29-2023 @El bubar @Tim Curtis Interesting behavior. If it remains an issue I have time to look into it this evening. You can send me a PM with the link to the folder contents of an offending album. Same here :-) BTW... couldn't it be a cache issue? I mean, he could have generated the thumbnails beginning from a certain set of images, then added a folder.jpg and regenerated them; but the image in the browser's cache... Using the "embedded" priority works 1000%, it is the only method I use, although I never tried it _WITH_ any image in the same folder... ASA it finishes the download (at about 400MB now... 1.4GB to go) I'll give it a check. RE: [HOW TO] force folder.pjg - TheOldPresbyope - 07-29-2023 In my quick check of the download, I can repro the kinds of views that @El bubar is talking about, specifically with respect to the Alain Bashung album. Will code walk later when I have time. Regards, Kent RE: [HOW TO] force folder.pjg - TheOldPresbyope - 07-30-2023 @Tim Curtis Deleting all image files except Cover.jpg and folder.jpg, cleared all caches I could think of, and repeated loading the new albums. Now coverart and thumbnails agree everywhere. Hmmm. So I started over again with all the track and image files after emptying the Library and caches, and restarting moOde. This time, though, I uncommented some workerLog() lines in util/thumb-gen.php before loading the new albums. Here's what I consider a smoking gun from the moode.log entries [note that I had changed the directory name from 'exemple 2 with...' to 'osez josephine'] Code: 20230729 231433 thumb-gen: Path: /var/lib/mpd/music/USB/KAR01/Music/El Bubar/osez josephine/Inlay.jpg Inlay.jpg is the wrong image file but as OP said back in Post #3 it appears to be the last image file in the directory. I'll get back to this tomorrow. Regards, Kent RE: [HOW TO] force folder.pjg - Nutul - 07-30-2023 From the (i) help of the Thumbgen scan option in preferences (for the "+" options - Default+ and All+... what is such option in your setup?): NOTE: Incorrect thumbnails may appear in the Library if the Album folder also contains image files and "Cover search priority" is set to Embedded. So, it looks like @Tim Curtis was aware of the possibility of the thumbnail generator getting confused adding the functionality of images being always searched ... I haven't investigated why, as the code seems to work perfectly, looking at what and how it does it; but if I find some time this evening I may give it a closer look. RE: [HOW TO] force folder.pjg - TheOldPresbyope - 07-30-2023 @Nutul The help button, huh? Wish I’d thought of that ![]() |
