No, this is the ordinary view of moOde. On top-right, that's the "m" menu...
can you carry out a single-drive library update? Just to be sure 3 drives can actually shut-off once one is being accessed...
Anyway, if in lack of a single, larger drive, your best choice is indeed a powered hub.

Drives plugged directly into Pi.....so just using port power....which I'm thinking to be a limiting factor.

You might want to simplify things by moving the collection to a single, high quality USB drive like a SanDisk UltraFit.

No need for a hub in this case, and very inexpensive so get 2 and use one as a backup.

I have the same bug. There are around 100 tracks on SMB share. Library update does not work, only regenerating library works.

Reboot, then Menu Library update and then post the startup log.
The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from the any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

Revisiting this....as still not out of the woods with this yet....Library U/D hasn't worked for some months....so rely on regenerating library
