The should never be a need to manually edit the boot files :-0 I do agree, but I also have to trust what the hardware manufacturer tells me to do to have it working... If something can be done in audio config that leads to the same result, that's the proper way, of course. RE: MPD Error - joecurtis - 01-09-2024 My board is a new one purchased around Christmas from The Pi-Hut one of the recommended supliers. I notice that is doesn't show up in AlSA slot 0. I notice that is doesn't show up in AlSA slot 0. If it's this board the spec sheet states compatible with "3B, 4B, Zero 2". Maybe it won't work on a 2B? https://thepihut.com/products/iqaudio-digiamp This version of the board has a spec that states "The Raspberry Pi DigiAMP+ is compatible with any Raspberry Pi computer that has a 40-pin GPIO header" https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/digiamp-plus/ RE: MPD Error - joecurtis - 01-09-2024 I have tried it on a 3B and got the same result and both my 2B and 3B have 40-pin GPIO headers (unless I can't count). I will try it on the 3B with a 64bit OS ( I had previously used the sd from the 2B. Failing that I also have a 4 and a 5 to try! For the record I am using a 19v 3.5A power supply. I have two players using the first version (from PiHut), one on a Zero W and one on a 3B+, both working happily with the latest moOde release. Colin RE: MPD Error - joecurtis - 01-10-2024 I have tried a variety of combinations and have concluded that the Pi-DigiAMP+ card must be faulty as it is not being recognised by the software . I have applied to the suppliers for a replacement! Many thanks to Tim and all the others for trying to assist me. RE: MPD Error - LordShadow - 01-13-2024 mpd error permission denied I just started getting this and now am unable to listen to literally anything ![]() Anyone want to throw a guy a bone and perhaps tell me what I can do to troubleshoot and or fix this? I was so loving listening to my music again! I had to do a full reinstall 2x but the issue seems good for the present. I sincerely appreciate you replying. ![]() I was really confused since it worked fine just an hour beforehand. the drive in question is an m.2 on a geeekPi board into the Pi via usb3 port. If it happens again you better post some logs. Also system logs, not only mpd's. |
