RE: snd-config.php error - LeighP - 09-15-2024 Well, it's all good Tim (and Kent) - I followed the instructions as per the Imager and it's now working. No idea what I've done different as I did exactly the same yesterday and the error occured. Today - instructions followed, image made using the Imager on Linux Mint, put into the Pi4 and plugged the Topping DX1 in and fired it up. Perfect this time - no errors, no nothing. Plugged the L + R output into my amp (Tangent Ampster II) and played the test track - hello testman - and then some online radio. So I'm puzzled as to what I did different but, yes, I admit in haste I failed to check any installation process updates which was potentially the issue. My moode system will sit alongside my Mac Mini that runs Daphile - the Daphile system will play my albums from 2 x 512Gb USB sticks and access Deezer etc, my moode system will play my 'Various Artist' albums from a 256Gb USB stick. I've wanted to build this system for a long time and it's slowly coming together. Leigh.... RE: snd-config.php error - Tim Curtis - 09-15-2024 Cool and glad all is working :-) RE: snd-config.php error - Snoil - 09-16-2024 Yes, "required" might help I think. Also, not everybody might read the guide every time so that a hint that there were changes to what needs to be done might make people actually read it again. I speak from experience.... maybe sth like "when upgrading from version x.x.x (or older) preparation of the ISO requires additional steps" e.g. Might seem a bit tedious if you deal with this on a daily basis but if one comes here every other year or so, it might be conveniant. |
