Edit: I get a 403 error on the 6 music stream and a ping to the domain gives an unknown host error!
Any ideas?

I checked BBC Radio 1 & 6, both are working on the bbc urls that I got from FMStream. Still a pain that they feel it's beneath them to send the playlists as metadata...

Ok, I've switched to a new source that hopefully will be reliable, I've tested the 128k streams for the national stations and a few of my local stations and they are fine. Take note of the comment below of tweaks you may need to do, especially if you're outside the UK.

The 320K will only work in the UK, best sticking with streams that will work globally for the default list and leave it to the user to add better quality streams themselves.

The feature already includes both UK and Global station sets for BBC. There is an option in the Radio manager to hide the geo-fenced stations.
The question is are these new links stable? If they are I'll update the BBC station links for upcoming 8.2.3

I don't know what I am doing wrong, or even if I have understood how these stream links work... nevertheless, if I copy-paste the 96k above, I just get a "Not found" text in the browser's page (note: not a 404, just plain text "Not found")
