It would be better if you could get rid of those files on first instance... maybe your PC software adds them (are you on a Mac?)
They do not take up a lot of space, but nevertheless, still annoying useless files, and misleading, as they do not appear to be even real audio files.

Sarebbe meglio se potessi sbarazzarti di quei file in prima istanza... forse il software del tuo PC li aggiunge (sei su un Mac?).
Non occupano molto spazio, ma nonostante ciò, continuano a dare fastidio ai file inutili, e fuorvianti, poiché non sembrano nemmeno essere veri file audio.
Esatto, il mio problema è che questi file sono sparsi in 2000 cartelle e avrei bisogno di un software apposito per eliminarli in un colpo solo direttamente dal NAS!

First of all DoP is intended for DACs that do not support DSD.
Then I see that in your case it always gets converted to PCM before reaching the DAC... (your DAC does not expose DSD capability, hence MPD converts it to real PCM)
DSD native => PCM gives a real PCM stream the DAC can play
DoP => encapsulates DSD inside PCM frames, which cannot be understood by your DAC... (it sees PCM, but the data inside makes no sense to it)
In the end, leave it playing as DSD Native.

Can you please scroll to the bottom one of those two audio-info windows so we can see better the DAC info?

Innanzitutto la DoP è destinata ai DAC che non supportano DSD.
Quindi vedo che nel tuo caso viene sempre convertito in PCM prima di raggiungere il DAC... (il tuo DAC non espone funzionalità DSD, quindi MPD lo converte in PCM reale)
DSD nativo => PCM fornisce un flusso PCM reale che il DAC può play
DoP => incapsula DSD all'interno di frame PCM, che non possono essere compresi dal tuo DAC... (vede PCM, ma i dati all'interno non hanno senso)
Alla fine, lascialo suonare come DSD Native.

Puoi scorrere fino in fondo una di queste due finestre di informazioni audio in modo da poter vedere meglio le informazioni sul DAC?

For the Katana DAC there is a chip option to turn DoP support on/off. The default is On but maybe at some point it got turned Off? Chip options can be edited in Audio Config.
DoP is for audio devices that use a DAC chip that supports both DoP and Native DSD but an interface that only supports PCM. For example the Allo Katana DAC uses an ESS9038 DAC chip and I2S interface. The ESS chip supports both Native DSD and DoP but the I2S interface only supports PCM.
That same chip is used in Allo Revolution DAC but this DAC uses the USB interface which does support Native DSD thus the DAC will accept both DoP and Native DSD.

Then, the DAC chip itself does support DSDnative and DoP, and so should your DAC, but I cannot see this info being passed over to MPD, as it reads only S16 and S32...

@Nutul the I2S interface only supports PCM. You won't see DSD_U32_BE listed in Formats.
