RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - jayce996 - 12-27-2018 my apologies, my intention was first to know if those 2 were compatible. you right i should have created a dedicated post. If you wish/can, please delete/move the thread. RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - Ryan Haaland - 01-13-2019 With the new 4.4 .img ....What does that 'boot' look like? Set up: Fresh pi 3+, fresh sd card with 4.4, wired ethernet, external monitor connected via HDMI, and a usb external keyboard. When I power on with the 4.4 img on my SDCard, I see the typical raspian booting sequence on my screen ... then it goes to moode CL log in. and quickly... my screen goes blank... I'm waiting for something to happen ... any advice? Green light on front is not on, some traffic on ethernet indicator. What should I expect? RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - Tim Curtis - 01-13-2019 moOde is headless and thus by default a fresh image doesn't display the UI on locally attached displays. You need to first open the UI in a Browser then configure moOde to suit your needs. There is a basic setup guide at the link below and also in the moOde About screen. https://github.com/moode-player/moode/blob/master/www/setup.txt RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - Ryan Haaland - 01-13-2019 (12-27-2018, 12:47 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: Hi, (01-13-2019, 09:02 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: moOde is headless and thus by default a fresh image doesn't display the UI on locally attached displays. I'll go back to my old ways and RTFM ... ;-) Cheers, Ryan RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - Tim Curtis - 01-13-2019 lol. After you open the UI in a Browser, the open the System config page and scroll down to the section "Local Display" RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - rahul.shial - 02-06-2019 (01-13-2019, 09:42 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: lol. Hi Tim, I am an absolute novice when it comes to headless versus head projects...I downloaded the Moode image and imaged a microsd card. However if when starting the raspberry pi, if the display will not work, how do I open the UI and configure Moode? Sorry for asking such a stupid question.. Regards Rahul RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - Tim Curtis - 02-06-2019 From your PC, Mac, Phone, Tablet etc open a Web Browser Then enter one of the following, whichever works http://moode http://moode.local http://ip_address_of_pi RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - rikardo1979 - 02-06-2019 (02-06-2019, 10:41 PM)rahul.shial Wrote:(01-13-2019, 09:42 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: lol. Did you read the setup guide? Please read through. You connect to moode not from the Raspberry you installed it on but from any other computer or any device with web browser. If you know the IP address use that or use http://moode.local You find all the info in the guide http://moodeaudio.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=15 RE: Easy installation / setup / configuration guide for absolute beginners - rahul.shial - 02-07-2019 (02-06-2019, 11:51 PM)rikardo1979 Wrote:(02-06-2019, 10:41 PM)rahul.shial Wrote:(01-13-2019, 09:42 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: lol. Hi Ricardo, DUH moment for me...I did read, but failed to understand. It's been too long I've been away from any type of networking or unix...getting old... Thank you so much...it works perfectly now. However I have another question - if I store all music on a USB, how do I get it to always play directly from the USB and not look anywhere else for music? This will be another DUH moment for me....Thank you so much in advance!!! Again... read the 'setup' info... and forget about Unix or anything else, just follow the information in the text... From the setup guide: << (line 69) 2. AUDIO DEVICE SETUP - USB DEVICE a) Menu, Configure, Audio, I2S audio device: None b) MPD options: EDIT SETTINGS c) Leave Volume control set to "Software" d) Set Audio device to "USB audio device" then APPLY >> |
