Hi Bryce,
The setting that the Katana driver exposes if DoP ON/OFF.
Whats DoP sync/async? Do you have a link that explains the feature?

Sync/async is an ess9038q2m parameter. I was not able to find a good link that describes the feature, but it is discussed on some of the diyaudio forums. In looking for the link I found the answer to my question in a post from cdsgames:

Makes sense right ? Hold on, electronics are never simple. Enter DOP. DOP is not supported in synch mode.
Behind the scenes we implemented a very sophisticated driver that sw betwen asynch (dop) and synch (pcm).
So it seems that DoP ON/OFF also switches sync/async.

There is a bug in the Katana config in moOde 4.2. It won't be fixed untill release of moOde 4.3 and the 4.2 --> 4.3 update. Timeframe is TBD.

Thanks for your quick reply. I try Volumio newest version and it is better, and have some filter of DSP. But I'm a fan of Moode.

Katana 1.2 should start shipping in about 1 week
We improved further THD+N. "Fatiguing sound" that was present on some smaller speakers is completely gone with optimization of the LPF on analog stage.
Thx to all for your patience. We appreciate our customers and anyone that has a Katana will received a free isolator along with a new Katana 1.2
