Wanting to get rid of the clicks/pops, what if I use spdif/optical hat to take the signal from the berry to the usb dac?
Will this solve the problem? Doing this way there will not be any usb-uac connection and, therefore, no uac issue...

I have the same exact Issue.
Only playing DSD natively, with no resampling I can perfectly hear pops/clicks randomly.
No problems playing flacs or mp3s.
Pib3+ connected straightly to a topping d50 via USB.
Same what you said with volumio: quite no clicks at all. Just one or two per song.
I'm trying to buy a hat with spdif and coax out so I could connect the dac avoiding the usb port...

Yes exactly what I tried to say.
Same everything but the sdcard:
Dsd with moode lots of clicks and pops
Flac or mp3 none.
Dsd with volumio (same songs) just a couple during the playback.
Flac or mp3 none.

That would suggest to me that the issue originates in code shared by the two players---including the kernel, drivers, etc.---with the effect being more or less prominent depending on specific versions of various packages.
Sorry, I don't have the issue here so don't have any way to investigate it.

On the moode page go...m>Configure>System>System Modifications>Kernel architecture and select 32-bit and SET then reboot.
