RE: Audio glitching on Pi 5 - robkyf - 07-19-2024 Thanks @simonb. Yes, that might be something I give a go at some point in the future, like @DRONE7's suggestion to try a powered USB hub. In a similar vein, I did try installing an iFi Audio iPurifier2 at the Audiolab end of the USB link. It claims to reclock USB transfers but with my particular setup simply stopped the Audiolab from seeing both the Pi 5 and Pi Zero 2 W at all! Again, I'm coming back to the conclusion that the Audiolab USB interface is either too dated (the design is 10+ years old now) and/or too finickety to cope with the Pi 5. But at least I have the working substitute of the Pi Zero 2 W, so it's not the end of the world. RE: Audio glitching on Pi 5 - Always_In_The_Moode - 08-09-2024 I wanted to ask if you have enabled streaming? I've experienced some glitching if I enable audio IP streaming in the FLAC format. It actually seemed to have disappeared when I was on v8, but since upgrading to v9 it seems to have come back. When I disabled streaming the glitches disappeared. It's just a thought! I did try to check from your log output if it was enabled or not but I couldn't spot it. RE: Audio glitching on Pi 5 - robkyf - 08-11-2024 Hi @Always_In_The_Moode. Assuming I’ve understood you correctly, I don’t have any of the audio renderer options in moOde switched on. I’m just playing back music files stored on the SD card and internet radio - and the glitching is present with both regardless of sample and bit rate. |
