The stalled download may be due to kernel bug in 4.19.40. Try reverting to 4.19.34.

tried several times with installing / uninstalling but I always receive an error while installing docker. It is similar to that one already posted my pmosfet (see post #78 in this thread) so maybe there is something wrong with the docker installation script?

Do you have enough space on parttition? It was necessary to resize partition before instalation of the docker. df command show you free space.

Yes, I just expanded the filesystem so the whole installation used only 4% of my SD card. But I am still getting exactly the same error messages.

Try command:
sudo apt-get install -y --no-install-recommends docker-ce
and then start docker installation script.

I don't know if it is possible. You better go to pydpiper web site and go to the "issues" tab to ask your question directly to dhrone.
