DSD conversion to PCM upsampling to 192K - hui13 - 05-08-2019 Hi, I noticed that my 2.8 MHz DSD files - which are playing back fine on Moode 5.1 - are being upsampled to 192K instead of simply being converted to 176K. I was wondering why and if I could possibly change it so it would convert to 176K? Thanks. RE: DSD conversion to PCM upsampling to 192K - Tim Curtis - 05-08-2019 Hi, My understanding is that MPD defaults to the max rate the receiver/DAC supports for DSD to PCM on-the-fly conversion. This blog post has additional information. https://thepenguin.eu/2017-12-22-mpd-and-dsd-files/ -Tim RE: DSD conversion to PCM upsampling to 192K - hui13 - 05-08-2019 Thanks very much. Did not know that. |
