Which I²S audio device is this? - Gelegenheitsbastler - 05-10-2019 I bought a I²S audio device from aliexpress a few month ago (before knowing of moOdeaudio). I do not have any more technical information of the device. Now I want to use it with my first moOde installation on a Raspberry Pi Zero W. Which device could I choose from the list of I²S audio devices? ![]() RE: Which I²S audio device is this? - DRONE7 - 05-10-2019 That should work with the 'HiFiBerry DAC' setting.... ![]() Try it and report back.. RE: Which I²S audio device is this? - Gelegenheitsbastler - 05-10-2019 It fits perfect!! Thanks for the quick help! Now next problem: I want to hear a local radio-station or for example RadioBob. What have I got to do for that? And for this morning the last question: Is it possible to use my TwonkyMedia Server, where all my music is stored? If so, what have I got to do? All this is rocket-science for me. So sorry for all the questions. RE: Which I²S audio device is this? - DRONE7 - 05-10-2019 First...radiobob Here are the stream address' http://streams.radiobob.de/bob-live at the top centre of the moOde page is a Grey Dash...click on that then when it opens the library click on the microphone icon and that opens the radio page... In the top bar click on the + symbol and the popup allows you to add your station....paste the url from the radiobob page... try this one.. Code: http://streams.radiobob.de/bob-live/mp3-192/streams.radiobob.de/play.pls give it a name and 'create'. Then click on the update icon in the top bar and then use the search to find the name you gave it. Use the ellipses menu and add or play. Tested here and works.. ![]() RE: Which I²S audio device is this? - Norbert - 05-10-2019 Oopps... DRONE7 was faster RE: Which I²S audio device is this? - Gelegenheitsbastler - 05-10-2019 Radio Bob works fine now. Thx! Now I only need access to my TwonkyMedia Server to play my music. I do not find any way to search for reachable servers like TwonkyMedia Server. Just to connect to a NAS. I know of TwonkyMedia Server only because I just did a Google search. Apparently it is a DLNA (a specialized form of UPnP) media server which is not the same as what we know as a NAS (based on SMB or NFS). moOde uses the Music Player Daemon (MPD) to manage storage. Apparently there is a UPnP input plugin available for MPD but it is not included in moOde. You can read about the work which went into this plugin at https://www.lesbonscomptes.com/pages/mpd-upnp.html. It seems to me you have two choices: 1) configure moOde as a UPnP media renderer, get a UPnP control point, and with the combination select and play tracks from your server. 2) convince @Tim Curtis to add the UPnP plugin to MPD, test it, and include it in moOde Configuration panels. There's a nice discussion of the merits of these two approaches in the material at the link I gave above. If enough moOde users asked for 2) it might happen but there's already a lot on his ToDo list. Regards, Kent RE: Which I²S audio device is this? - Tim Curtis - 05-10-2019 It's trivial to add the UPnP database plugin to the compile. Its just the --enable-upnp setting. But I don't see any configuration settings for the plugin. and there is also a upnp Neighbor plugin. https://www.musicpd.org/doc/html/plugins.html It's not clear to me how this is supposed to work.
