I agree 99% with your analysis.
What I see differently is the influence of the power supply on the sound and the influence of jitter. Here we should distinguish if the influence is on digital or analog level.
I only use moode with HAT digital amplifiers. And there is no physical influence on the sound possible, because the chain up to the speaker terminals is purely digital.
And in practice, I don't hear any disturbing noise of any kind, no matter whether I use high or low efficiency speakers. The sound is absolutely clear and transparent.
If you have a mixed chain of analog and digital, the power suppies will be interesting and the effects described under 3) may actually occur.
Finally I think that jitter can be measured but never heard.
