Software vs Hardware Volume Control - Meestor_X - 10-18-2019 What's the difference? What does one do over the other? I'm using a HiFiBerry DAC+ PRO on one Moode box, and a HiFiBerry DAC+ Zero on the other. So why is there a setting in MoOde? (Where I searched for the answer and found nothing...) RE: Software vs Hardware Volume Control - aknaggbaugh - 10-18-2019 Because it can be done either way and some people prefer one, some the other? Because not all HATs support hardware volume control? Because moode is integrated into setups in different ways? For example I have my moode set to 0dB output which disables the volume control slider altogether, because volume control is done by a relay attenuator elsewhere in my system. Choice is good, my friend RE: Software vs Hardware Volume Control - Meestor_X - 10-18-2019 Fair enough. Thank you. |
