Balance Knob - Otto.Normahl - 11-26-2019
Hi!
I'm using HiFiBerry Amp 2 and it works very fine with Moode (unfortunatly Volumio don't will not work with them).
Based on my listening place, which ist not optimal, I'm missing the good old "Balance" knob.
I'm guessing, that a software knob has to change the configuration of ALSA. There should be possible to implement such a "Balance" control.
It is someone else interessted on a "Balance"-control in Moode?

It has been raised a number of times and I believe it is on Tim's to-do list....though not a high priority item...
Meanwhile you can adjust balance in ALSA by ssh into moode and running alsamixer then using the keyboard commands as per the alsamixer guide...

A quick an dirty try to change the balance of left and right channel has not successfull. I was able only to switch one channel off or on
Now, I'm understanding why Tim has deprioritized a development of a balance control. That is not such easy as thought.

Short update:
It is necessary to choose the right item: "Digital"
In this case it is possible to use the control keys. It works until a change of volume with the moode web interface.
Maybe it is possible to change one of the config files manuelly and to store permament the channel balance setting?
