Customization playback UI - add buttons - zOr7gA8 - 11-08-2020
hey there,
referring to my thread with the problem of loading cover/restarting upnp-renderer

it would be nice to have the possibilty to add a button with this function - restarting upnp renderer - to playback menue.
maybe it makes sense to integrate the feature of adding some buttons (1-4) with customizable functions. would place this option to the settings of appearance. would make a dropdown menue for choosing functions and only use commands which are connected to other buttons, menues or pages. so at the end you can make shortcuts.

Seems like a bug in the renderer if it has to be restarted to get cover art. Someone should submit a bug report to the maintainer so the issue can be investigated. https://framagit.org/medoc92
Configurable buttons has been on the TODO list for a long time but there is hardly any demand for it and so it never gets any priority.

At least I am not sure, if there is a bug or it is just the normal behavior. I will do a bug report.
A personal solution for my problem without possibility of adding buttons would be to edit existing.
Is it possible to change the target/command of the shuffle button for example?
Or to add a new entry with my command to the dropdown menue when selecting "the points" of a track in playlist?
That would be a master hack for me ;-)
