Moodeaudio and Topping E30 Optical No Sound ? - Hydra - 11-27-2020
Hi friends, I connected Raspberrypi 3b + and Topping e30 Dac from USB, and my speakers are Dali Zensor 5AX active speaker, with Topping E30 I get sound when I plug it from RCA to Dali's Aux input, but to Topping E30 with an optical cable, Dali speaker no sound when i connect, what could be the problem?

What do you mean by "to Topping E30 with an optical cable", you mean optical from the Pi using a digi board?

The optical connections on the Topping and the Dali are both inputs aren't they? So going from the Topping RCAs to the Aux input on the Dali is your only option.

If this should work, the question would be why you need an external DAC and then use the internal DAC of the speakers.
The way of going with RCA output of D30 to speakers should be fine.
