Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - Tim Curtis - 04-02-2021 Hi, Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release is in testing :-) This release contains important bug fixes and updates and a couple of nice enhancements including an ALSA pipeline that makes it easy to capture the raw PCM stream from the Loopback device and an I2S device option to specify the device overlay for devices that don't appear in the named device list. S. Bach. I do not find that the mixture of Artists and Composers (created by the Artist+ option) a problem. Does the reversion that you propose for 7.2 mean that Composers will not be displayed in the main UI display? I realise that a search is always possible, but the Artist+ option works for me. ...or perhaps 7.2 will provide a different method. Thanks, Geoff RE: Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - Tim Curtis - 04-04-2021 Composers will still be displayed. You can search by entering the string composer "J. S. Bach" In a future release the goal is to maintain a composers list and the ability to quickly switch between Artists, AlbumArtists and Composers in Tag view. RE: Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - lachaine - 04-04-2021 Please add support to usb dongle nic with rtl 8811, thanks for all. JF RE: Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - Tim Curtis - 04-04-2021 You can try the cmd below to see if it offers to install a driver for rtl8811 otherwise you would need to compile the driver yourself. Code: First plug in the wifi adapter. RE: Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - GStevens - 04-04-2021 (04-04-2021, 01:45 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: Composers will still be displayed. Geoff RE: Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - fdealexa - 04-07-2021 Hello Tim, Happy to know that 7.2 will contain Alsa improvements (loopback).(probably good for the Peppymeter integration) As you probably remember, I asked to you about the radio folders. I use the workaraound you kindly suggested to use the field(tag) genre to order my stations. Due that there are 2 empty fields, do you think is it possibile to add one of them as ordering criteria? I saw that somebody else is interested to that: http://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=3522&pid=32334#pid32334. Thanks a lot for the great job you and your team (Kent first) are daily doing. Best regards, Francesco RE: Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - fdealexa - 04-10-2021 Hello Tim, I tried to analyze the probable future "New ALSA routing and loopback option" for the 7.2 release and I would like to share with you a big doubt about the limitation of the SoX to 192K using the "type multi" function. I tried, in fact, this configuration and with the SoX enabled with the "Bit depth" at 32 bits and with the "Sample rate" at 192 kHz it works, but if you try to go up with the "Sample rate" you get the following error : "MPD error Failed to open "ALSA Default" (alsa); Error opening ALSA device "default"; snd_pcm_hw_params () failed: Invalid argument ". It could be my configuration but I thought it important to inform you of my doubt. Sincerely, Francesco RE: Upcoming moOde 7.2.0 release - Tim Curtis - 04-10-2021 Yes the configuration where ALSA Loopback is enabled is limited to 192K according to my tests. I don't know what part of the ALSA config actually imposes this limit. Maybe someone with ALSA expertise can help out. |
