Spotify Car Thing - june34 - 05-02-2021
I read that Spotify would introduce this hardware product to have in your car.
Did I understand this right, that it is pretty much for cars that cannot connect to your phone so instead you connect it through the Car Thing?
Anyways, what do you think about it? I did sign up to get one but as of now it is not available in my country (only US I think)

If you're refering to https://carthing.spotify.com/ it seems a good way to control Spotify whilst driving if you don't have Android Auto or the Apple equivalent, so anyone in the car can control Spotify without potentially needing to use someone elses phone.
It connects to someones phone and uses their premium account and phone data plan to stream music, the Car Thing is just a control point. Seems a good idea and is available for free at the moment, in the US only, you just pay shipping. I am not in the US otherwise I would get one. Would I pay £80 plus shipping for one? No.
